Tender Moment - Michelle & Evan (August 2009)

This is my first attempt at charcoal. Personally, I like it better than pencil, seemed a little easier to control the shadows. This is from a photo taken at an Easter egg hunt in 2008. Evan was disappointed because he did not get many eggs and Michelle was consoling him.

Carolina Beach Pier - 2008

I sketched this from the beach looking toward the pier. I left out the tiki hut, stools, and people to sketch the pier alone.
